All Council meetings are public meetings, with the agenda published on our website three clear days before the meeting. The public is invited to make representation at the beginning of each meeting.
Dates of scheduled meetings to be held in Chilworth Village Hall: Wednesday 10th January 2024 at 6 p.m. Tuesday 20th February 2024 at 7 p.m. Tuesday 19th March 2024 at 7 p.m. Tuesday 16th April 2024 at 7 p.m. Tuesday 21st May 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
The administrative year starts in May with the Annual meeting of the Parish Council, when appointments are made of Councillors to positions of responsibility within the Council. The Chairman and Vice- Chairman are elected, and members are assigned to its various Committees.
This is a statutory meeting, arranged by the Parish Council, for the electors of the parish to meet to discuss issues of interest within the parish. There is no prearranged or published agenda, and may or may not be Chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council. Minutes are taken and presented and approved at the meeting next year. No decisions will be binding on the Council, but issues raised may be referred to a Council meeting for consideration. The meeting must take place between 1st March and the 1st June.
The 2024 Annual Assembly will be held on Tuesday 21st May at 6:30 p.m. in Chilworth Village Hall - followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council.
