If, as a member of the public, you wish to join any of the meetings, or put a question to Council, please contact the Clerk – clerk@stmarthaparishcouncil.co.uk or telephone: 07976 778864 at least two days before the meeting date.

All Council meetings are public meetings, with the agenda published on our website three clear days before the meeting. The public is invited to make representation at the beginning of each meeting.

Dates of scheduled meetings in 2022:

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 24th May 2022 preceded by the 2022 St Martha Annual Assembly at 7 p.m. in Chilworth Village Hall.

The administrative year starts in May with the Annual meeting of the Parish Council, when appointments are made of Councillors to positions of responsibility within the Council. The Chairman and Vice- Chairman are elected, and members are assigned to its various Committees.

Annual Assembly of the Parish

This is a statutory meeting, arranged by the Parish Council, for the electors of the parish to meet to discuss issues of interest within the parish. There is no prearranged or published agenda, and may or may not be Chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council. Minutes are taken and presented and approved at the meeting next year. No decisions will be binding on the Council, but issues raised may be referred to a Council meeting for consideration. The meeting must take place between 1st March and the 1st June.

The 2022 Annual Assembly of St Martha Parish will be hosted by the Parish Council in Chilworth Village Hall on Tuesday 24 May.

Come and tell us your hopes and visions for the future of the parish and for Chilworth village.

Chilworth is represented by two councils; St Martha and Shalford. Come and share with us for how you would like to see the village develop over the coming years and how the two councils can work together to achieve those aims and ambitions.

The Assembly will start at 7pm and be followed by a short council meeting at 7.30pm, to which you are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
